DaybreakABLE

The DaybreakABLE Inclusion Club is a subcommittee of the Daybreak for Diversity and Inclusion Club. We create monthly activities, events, gatherings and experiences for people of all ages and abilities to come together to:
-PLAY together,
-TRY new things,
-CREATE friendships,
-LEARN from each other,
-SERVE our community,
-CELEBRATE our similarities and
-SHARE our experiences

This is a safe space where we can all be ourselves, feel joy, make memories, have fun, ask questions, learn and grow and build lasting friendships. All activities are kid and family friendly. We adapt the activities so they are fun and engaging for people of all ages and all ability levels and we provide opportunities at every activity for people to simply get out and socialize in a safe and uplifting environment. We have planning meetings with participants of varied ages and abilities to help us plan and coordinate activities. We like to collaborate with other community groups and organizations who promote and believe in inclusion, such as the Adaptive Arena. We invite people inside and outside of the Daybreak neighborhoods to join our monthly activities and advocate for a more inclusive community.
